Stayed two nights and slept well. Room was clean and quiet. Watched a beautiful sunset from the outside of my room before turning in and it really put me at peace. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
We had to make an unplanned stop at the Gull lake lodge motel during a bad storm while driving to Regina. The motel was amazing and the owner, Summer, made our experience truly special. The price was great, the rooms were immaculately clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The AC unit also worked very well. Overall, I would recommend staying here and I hope I get another opportunity to.
This place works just fine for those wanting a place to crash on a budget. The dude will book you in on the phone and you pay when you get there. Nice. He is an energetic fellow with some interesting tats who is a fantastic 'host'. Super friendly. If you have light sleeping kids with you, just know that this is close to the train tracks. All in all, nothing wrong with this place. Clean, a good bed in Room #2 at least and right off of Highway #1.
Stayed at a motel just off the highway — I’m usually not a big fan of motels, but this one was actually pretty good. The bed was comfortable, and both the heat and AC worked great. The only downside was the train that passes nearby — I didn’t hear it since I’m a heavy sleeper, but my boyfriend did. Overall, a solid place for a quick rest stop, especially for $75 a night.
Summer was a great host! Things were as clean as they could be for the age of the rooms. The rooms are old, slanted floors and not the most comfortable beds, but for the price and location, it was a safe, cute stop on our trip. It's 5 stars for friendliness and cleanliness for $90 for 2 Queens beds, ac, full bathroom, and free coffee. 500 metre walk to a nice pub with great food! The train is pretty close, so bring ear plugs.
⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Lifesaver! We ended up at Gull Lake Motel unexpectedly after leaving Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and realizing we couldn’t find an open gas station anywhere after 8 PM. Running on fumes and unsure if we’d make it to Swift Current, we pulled into the motel — and thank goodness we did. The manager greeted us with such kindness and immediately asked how he could help. Without hesitation, he offered us gas from his own jerry can and even made us coffee. His generosity and genuine care turned a stressful situation into a heartwarming experience. You don’t meet people like this often anymore. We are so grateful and highly recommend this motel not just for a place to stay — but for the incredible people behind it.
We got 1 non smoking and smoking rooms. The nonsmoking room is okay, it is clean and smells nice. It is decent for its price and the location and services offered are typical in a small town. We did not expect much, but it is decent for its price. My kids are happy and comfortable too. The smoking rooms and pet room, was clean, but i dont the smell, but we requested to be beside the room with my family. Understandable because it is us who requested it, plus it was a big room for us with kids. All in all our experience was great. The owner gave us water upon check un and granola bars upon check out. Thank you for letting us stay at your motel even tho we arrived too late, you accomodated us.
